7 Grandfather Teachings
Through a challenging, intellectually rigorous, and relevant curriculum supported by a culturally-sensitive environment, our staff and faculty work collaboratively to empower students, promoting mino-bimaadiziwin (a good way of life). This is supported by the use Niizhwaaswi Mishomis Gikenoo’amaagewinan (the Seven Grandfather Teachings). These teachings from the Ojibwe cultural have been passed down from generation to generation and guide individuals to have moral respect for all living things.
