Advancing data-driven decision-making to support student success and institutional growth

About Institutional Research

The Institutional Research office at Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College strives to provide data, analytics, and insights to support strategic planning, accreditation, student success, and continuous improvement. Our goal is to ensure accurate, transparent, and meaningful information for decision-makers, faculty, staff, and stakeholders, rooted in storytelling and community responsibility. Data is not merely numbers but a living resource that helps guide decision-making, strengthen cultural identity, and uphold relationships.

Institutional Research Philosophy

Data as Storytelling: Using data to tell the story of our students, employees, institution, and community in ways that honor their experiences.

A Holistic Approach: Balanced knowledge systems help develop a complex, interconnected understanding of student success.
Community-Driven Decision Making: Our research supports strategic planning, student support, and curriculum in alignment with institutional and community goals.
